At Curtain Upp® we provide fun, educational and inspiring activities for primary school children (ages 4+), during school holidays. Your child does NOT need to attend Curtain Upp Stage School to participate in the Holiday Club.

Our ambition is to provide positive and enjoyable sessions that help children develop their physical, cognitive and social wellbeing. We theme our sessions accordingly to keep each one fresh and exciting, incorporating a wide range of activities including dance, drama, singing, crafting activities, plus lots of games and time to play!

All Holiday Clubs are organised and conducted by Curtain Upp Principal, Miss Helen, who holds a full DBS and First Aid qualification and is supported by experienced Assistant Teachers. Helen is a fully-qualified Teacher, taught at secondary schools on a fulltime basis in London before moving to Rutland, and often works as a Cover Teacher. Curtain Upp dance school is fully insured, and we carefully select our venues to ensure that children can have fun in a safe and happy environment.

At Curtain Upp, we believe that play is a powerful force on any child’s development and generally, it is vastly underestimated. Play allows children to communicate ideas, to understand others through social interaction, paving the way for building deeper understanding and strong relationships. Children often play to make sense of the world around them, and to find meaning in an wxperience by connecting it to something already known.

Curtain Upp® classes cover a wide range of dance disciplines, musical theatre and acrobatics, with classes for age groups from 2 to adult. All classes are taught or governed by dance professionals and are taught in a fully equipped dance environment, witality to shine through.
