Competing for the fun and excitement of events

There are endless opportunities for fun and growth in our ‘Curtain Upp Elites Team’. This team is specifically for dancers who would like to take their dance training to the next level and be challenged further with more personalised tuition. Dancers receive private lessons to learn solo, duets and trios in their favourite disciplines and then have the opportunity to compete in two local competitions/festivals each year. As well as showcasing their dances in community performances and shows.

Dance competitions are highly rewarding for dancers and performers of all ages – and it is not just about the medals and trophies. They provide great stage experience and promote hard work to strive for polished performances at high standards. They also assist to build up an emotional resilience to help deal with criticism and feedback in all aspects of life. Competitions are such a fantastic way to have more fun with dance friends and teachers, while developing a larger passion for dance.
